Ten Questions to Ask When Choosing a Foundation Repair or Waterproofing Contractor

When choosing a foundation repair or waterproofing contractor, you are making a decision for the lifetime of your home. Quality Waterproofing would like to help you make an informed decision by asking the following questions:

How long have you been in business?

Many companies will state that they have a certain number of years of combined industry experience, but they do not tell you how many years they have been in business as a company. Since most services are accompanied by a warranty that extends beyond the date of work completion, it is important to know you have a company that has stood the test of time. Quality Waterproofing has been in business since 1955.

Do you have a permanent physical location?

Often times, here today, gone tomorrow contractors do not have a permanent physical location - they operate out of a home garage or storage facility. This can make them hard to track down if and when you need them. Quality Waterproofing is located at 200 S. Elam Avenue in Valley Park, MO and our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

Did your inspector arrive in a marked company vehicle?

While this may seem like a strange question to ask, a marked company vehicle signals to a home owner that the company inspecting your foundation is committed to the work it is doing, and not hiring part time, or contract based inspectors who do not have the knowledge and expertise required to provide the correct solution for your waterproofing or foundation problem. Quality Waterproofing only hires full time, highly knowledgeable inspectors who will arrive in a marked company vehicle.

Are you accredited with the BBB?

Are you fully licensed and insured?

Are you a franchise?

While there is certainly nothing wrong with a franchise, often times they take a one size fits all approach, and do not offer the ideal products for St. Louis homes. Quality Waterproofing is locally owned and operated, and is not a franchise, so we select only the highest quality products that are optimal for your St. Louis area home.

Can you tell me about your reputation in the community?
